We have heard that behind every successful man, there is a woman. However, some say that behind every failed man, there is a woman. This is a topic that can be discussed but I am here to tell you something that can support all successful people. It is the way they start in the morning that sets them apart from others. Here is a list of things that most people do in the morning but do not succeed.
1. Checking Their Mobiles
When your alarm goes off, today, unfortunately, that is, your phone, the first thing you do is start looking at your phone for new notifications, messages, emails, updates,
or other things that may seem important but not so important. Checking your phone first thing in the morning is tempting but just imagine what it is doing to your brain. When you start your day, the best thing you can do with your brain is to keep it fresh and relaxed so that it will always be ready to handle the future processing needs of the day. But what you do is set your mind on driving too much when you wake up by blasting it with information from your phone. You start to feel frustrated already.
Not only, it stresses your brain but it also sets you up for a bad mood even before you start your day because the information you get every day on your phones is usually not that fun. It is therefore difficult for you to focus on your priorities and goals.
It is best to leave your phone or any other source of information like a TV alone, sit down and enjoy your tea or coffee while you think, and prepare yourself throughout the day. Believe me, you will be very productive this way.
2. Skipping Breakfast
Often, you have more to do with the time you have during the day. To control things, it seems like an easy option to skip your breakfast. But the problem is that no matter how easy it may seem, it does more harm than good. It is not just a phrase that says breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
It is a fact that has been repeatedly proved by scientific research. Just think of it. Your body has been without food for a few hours after dinner. If you skip your breakfast, you fast for more than 12 straight hours. As a result, your blood sugar levels begin to drop and you continue to do so until you eat. It eventually causes dizziness, chills, and fatigue. You can imagine how difficult it is for the brain to focus on such situations. You have less understanding and be more careful than you should know because your brain needs glucose (sugar) to process information.
Eating a healthy breakfast not only keeps you strong throughout the day but also improves your mood on a regular basis. So believe it or not, after a successful person’s ability to handle everything thrown at him during the day, a healthy breakfast.
3. Do Everything In Random Order
How many of us take a pen and paper in the morning and make a list of things to do for the day to put it first? Very few, I think. This is what makes those very few people more successful than others. Planning your day may seem like an extra thing you can do in the morning but it will make your whole day easier and more productive. If you are not the type of person who usually keeps a pen and paper nearby you can do so by using an app like OneNote on your phone (though not after you wake up).
Prioritizing all the activities of your day prepares you mentally and makes it easier to divide your time into the importance of work. It also helps you to keep track of your progress at any time during the day and makes it less likely that you will miss out on something important and worry afterward. A planned day can easily make the difference between succeeding in any field you are in and continue to struggle for survival.
